Shipping packages can be one of the more time-consuming tasks for small businesses. Custom packaging company Packlane needed a fast, scalable solution that would make it easy for small e-commerce companies to manage shipments, from placing orders to printing labels.
We set out to rapidly launch a modern, intuitive web app for Packlane. In week one, we developed a comprehensive product and engineering plan. In under three months we launched an MVP of Shiplane, Packlane’s new shipping software. Integrating with Packlane’s existing technical infrastructure, the app features a comprehensive user interface and design system, as well as API integrations with USPS and three other delivery systems. Regular collaboration with Packlane and their service partners, plus iteration based on customer feedback, was core to the development process.
