Fluxon has always been a company built by technologists. As we grow, we want to keep it that way. Today, we’re excited to share that Edgard Lindner is stepping into the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Edgard has spent more than two decades building software. He spent over 13 years at Google, where he was one of the engineers behind Google Docs and Sheets, before joining Verily and then Fluxon. His work at Google included building core functionality for collaborative documents, with his name appearing on both Google’s engineering blog and patents for Google Docs technology.

Over the past five years at Fluxon, Edgard has grown from Engineering Lead to Director of Engineering and now CTO. Along the way, he’s led some of our most important projects, including many of our AI engagements, and helped us grow an engineering organization of hundreds of builders around the world.

But the reason Edgard is the right person for this role goes beyond his technical experience. He has the judgment to tackle difficult engineering problems without overcomplicating them, and he cares deeply about the people behind the work. He's been key to the engineering culture we want to keep building.

“I've loved every part of the journey so far, working alongside this team, growing together, and solving technology problems that matter. I’m grateful for the trust and excited for what's ahead.”
— Edgard Lindner

There’s another part of this transition we’re equally excited about. AJ Ross, Fluxon’s Co-Founder & CTO, isn’t leaving Fluxon. He’s going back to writing code. After spending time away from work, AJ had a chance to think about where he could make his best contribution to Fluxon. His answer was the thing he missed most: building products and working directly on the technology.

With Edgard taking the lead as CTO, AJ is moving into a full-time individual contributor role as a software engineer. It’s a transition that says something important about the kind of company we want Fluxon to be. Leadership doesn’t have to mean getting further away from the work. Great engineers should have room to lead organizations, build teams, or put their hands back on the keyboard and build.

Edgard has already helped shape Fluxon for the past five years. We’re excited to see where he takes us next, and equally excited to have AJ building alongside the team again.

Welcome to the role, Edgard.
